A little tribute to my home town! This embroidery pattern features the iconic Amsterdammertje, complete with the three crosses, set against a backdrop of classic Dutch canal houses.
The first Amsterdammertjes appeared in the 18th century along the streets and canals of Amsterdam to prevent horse-drawn carriages from
scraping the façades of corner houses. There are still more than 10.000 Amsterdammertjes spread across the city.
